SO BASICALLY the cosmos decided that it was okay for me to have a running website. The bill kept getting thrown out, overturned, vetoed, and declared unconstitutional, but they had a 2/3 majority this time, and I think it's gonna stick.

So when the site went down, I was in the middle of a couple of comics, and it didn't occur to me that I could work on them even though the site didn't exist. So even though there's a bit of a site there now, it'll be a while before I can get a new comic up because I'll be hopelessly busy until a few days from now (this is also my explanation for why the website is, right now, rather half-butted).

And for those of you who may be wondering what the deal was, I will enlighten you. I was happily plunking along all hunky-dory-like when suddenly, ATBHost (my web host) suddenly decided that their practice of free hosting was stupid, and they decided to abolish it then and there. Shocked, I made a hasty promise somewhere (I think it was on one of the threads in my tiny forum) that I would have it back up by the end of the week, because I had hastily (there's that work again) found a new free host that I thought was going to work out. IT DID NOT WORK OUT. I tried another one. (Let me tell you, setting up a new host took about 1-5 days per host, and they did NOT overlap, so yes, it took a long time.) It didn't work out either. I had to wait a week to find out that the second one wasn't going to work. And the third one didn't work either. So I decided to narrow my search parameters. Instead of "free web host," I had to search for "free cpanel." That got me what I wanted. BUT! the first CPanel one did not work, because it just sucked. The second CPanel one did not work because the system was down every time I checked it. FINALLY THAT THIRD CPanel ONE WORKED AND HERE I AM.

That is my story, and I'm sticking to it. The one I'm using is great, just like my last one, but I don't think this one offers paid hosting (though it might), which means it probably won't cut out on free hosters like my last one did.
