Incroyable by Dredsina Incroyable by Dredsina
I don't know if you guys remember that I've been doing a series of Hetalia characters sitting on chairs/couches unique to their culture (which I called chairtalia...and it predates couchtalia DON'T BE GETTING ALL UP ONS ABOUT THAT), but here's France.

He's currently dressed as an Incroyable, which would make this set between 1794 and 1800 because I based the furniture on a painting from 1800.

Kate Beaton called them hipsters. ( u mu)

I absolutely adore this and the colors are marvelous. There's a real mixture of emotion in his face and stance that I love.

I love the way you draw him. And seeing as this is during the French revolution and he has a rag around his neck does that have something to do with the guillotine?

Nahhh, Incroyables were ridiculous and used to wear cravats up to their lips just to be ridiculous and dress upper-class to the point of complete sillyness. And thank you!
